There is a 4" long by 3" wide tailing of heartwood at one end of the second face on one piece and that piece also has a 7" long bark inclusion strip and wane along one edge of the pictured face that reduces the usable width to 8 5/8" at the narrowest point. Surfaced two face and very nicely figured.
