The Last Raft
In 1938, as a reenactment of the by-gone lumbering era, a raft was constructed in the Clearfield, Pa. area and was to navigate the West Branch Of The Susquehanna River to the Harrisburg, Pa vicinity. There was a accident on the river at Muncy, Pa. when the raft collided with one of the bridge piers with a considerable loss of life. More info can be found at this link.
