There is a 6" wide streak of heartwood running down the center of the second face that is 1/2" deep at one end and 1 1/4" deep at the opposite end. Surfaced two face and beautifully figured. There is 41" of wane of wane along one edge of the pictured face that reduces the usable width to 8 7/8" at the narrowest point. The material that borders the area of wane is slightly darker in color.
